Music Technology is constantly advancing and for teachers and tutors it can be a constant battle to avoid being left behind. PSL Academy provides professional development to ensure your skills and knowledge are refreshed and updated.
Our training is designed to help you maximise your knowledge in areas of music production and technology to ensure that your students get the most out of your teaching and to prepare them for employment. We also assist in ways to align teaching techniques with the syllabus you’re teaching.
Our trainers are professional and experienced, not just in providing tuition but in the broader aspects of professional audio engineering – tech design and build as well as live and studio production.

STEINBERG: CUBASE FOR TEACHERS – As the name suggests, we have developed a course aimed specifically at those using Cubase as an educational tool. We can help by marrying your teaching syllabus to Cubase, providing guidance on teaching methods in the developing world of music tech and helping you to ensure that your knowledge can be applied through new technology to ensure your students are bringing in the best possible results.
RSL MUSIC PRODUCTION FOR TEACHERS – RSL’s brand new Music Production grades 1 to 8 are the world’s first internationally recognised music production qualification. Grades 6, 7 and 8 earn students significant UCAS points and can effectively equate to more than an A* at A-level! This is a brand new set of graded qualifications and so the syllabus, the teaching methods and the examinations are also brand new. PSL are currently offering a range of professional development programmes to bring potential tutors right up to date (as well as providing them with their own qualifications in the process). This can be through course delivery in their own environment, through one-on-one personal training on-site or at our studios in Hampshire, or it can be on one of our residential courses.
